About Thaynes Canyon
The Thaynes Canyon neighborhoods span from the flat terrain below the Park City Ski Area, up into the steeper parcels of Iron Mountain, and along the hillsides stretching behind the famous white barn. Thaynes is an up-scale, long-established neighborhood that predates Park Meadows and Prospector and fetches top dollar due to its highly sought-after location. The homes in this quiet neighborhood are tucked away on private, tree-lined streets and hug the public golf course, with some poised for perfect ski run views. Thaynes is a short walk to get groceries, see a doctor, post a letter or catch a movie. It offers easy access to Historic Main Street, Kimball Junction and all three ski resorts by way of the free bus lines.
Aspen Springs to the north is one of the newer developments inside the city limits. A few parcels are zoned for equestrian use. These residents enjoy the beauty across the seasons with long, pastoral views of the white barn, the surrounding streams, rolling meadows, wooded hillsides and animal life.
Silver Star development to the south has been a welcome addition to the community with its laid back open plaza, ski-in ski-out access, ski/mountain bike shops, and the Silver Star Café which offers one of the best views in town. Residents also easily indulge in the many amenities available to residents at the Park City Hotel, which is hub of activity with a restaurant/bar, golf pro shop/cross country skiing track, fitness center and luxury spa. In general Thaynes/Aspen Springs residents enjoy easy access to the vast community trail system which converts to a well-groomed Nordic trail network in the winter.
