As recent as July 17, 2025 mortgage interest rates were 6.75%. They ticked down over the next two months to 6.26%, in anticipation of the Fed cutting the funds rate, which occurred on Sept 18. Economic projections and market indicators suggest two more cuts could happen before year-end.
10/01/25: The Park City real estate market has been doing well over the last several years, despite interest rates fluctuating from low 6% to low 7%. The number of sales for single family homes year-to-date 2025 (369) is ahead of pace compared to first 9 months 2024 (301); up by 23%. Inventory is low with less than 250 Park City homes for sale – about same as this time last year.
Condo and townhome sales are down about 6% compared to year-to-date for first 9 months of 2024. Inventory is 37% higher than this time last year.
With the recent Fed interest rate cut and possibly more this year, we anticipate the year to end on a positive note with a good outlook for 2026.
